Army officers warned on land grabbing

The chief of defense forces General Katumba Wamala has warned Army officers against using their positions and ranks to grab civilians land.

Appearing before parliament’s Human rights committee, Gen Katumba said it has come to his notice that many high ranking officers in the army are terrorizing people by grabbing their land by force.

He explained that as an institution they are investigating the allegations and who ever will be found illegally acquiring land under such circumstances,will be brought to book
