Parts of Busoga are reported to have been hit by a fresh jiggers attack.
The outbreak has been reported in Baitambogwe sub-county, in Mayuge district.
The Bunya west Member of Parliament Vincent Bagiire says about 17 homes in his constituency have been affected.
He says a number of non-government organizations have intervened but is calling for more help from the government to avoid further spread of the jiggers.
The last jiggers attack was reported last year in Busoga with some lives lost.
