Calcium depletion affecting mothers

Women who give birth beyond the age of 35 are at higher risk of suffering from depletion of calcium in bones.

Nutrition experts are warning against bearing children in advanced age because it weakens the woman’s body in many ways.

Hanifah Namusoke a nutritionist at Mwana Mugimu says the negative effects stretch beyond the mother to the unborn child.
