Government has today re-launched the District Integrity Promotion Forums (DIPF) in Acholi sub region.

Through the Directorate for Ethics and Integrity, the forums are mandated to promote ethical conduct in local governments, unblock service delivery bottlenecks in districts as well as fight corruption at local governments.

According to the Directorate’s Permanent Secretary (PS) Alex B Okello re-invigorating the performance of the district integrity promotion boards will go a long way in curbing corruption by pro-action.

He was in Kitgum district where DIPFs from Acholi East districts of Lamwo, Kitgum, Agago, Kitgum Municipality convened for the re-launch.

“This is the forum which is directed to establish at the district level, it is supposed to be looking at why service delivery is not going on well in our district and what can we actually do, it also bring together the key government factors,” Mr. Okello said.
