IGP has said the government was right to close down makerere University
The Inspector General of Police, Kale kayihura has said the government was right to close down the University.
He says the government had no option and its closure was the best decision.
He added that a breaking space was needed to allow the government, administration and staff to get a solution to the situation.
The guild president, Roy Semboga says they are writing a petition to the Education minister which will be handed to her later today.
He says many international and local students are stranded as the decision to send them back home came at short notice.
He added that students are victims and thus must go home and allow
