Kiggundu signs out

David Kugonza | November 15, 2016

The government has been urged to establish an election management training institute.

The proposal has been made by outgoing commission chairman engine Badru Kiggundu during his last interface with the media in kampala.

Dr Kiggundu who has been at the helm of the elections body for the last 14 years says this will help build capacity of the election managers and improve their service delivery.

Kiggundu has also expressed regret that the commission under his leadership was unable to conduct the LC 1 elections, however urging the concerned authorities to do what it takes to have these elections organised soon.

He has expressed appreciation to all stakeholders for the support to the commission which has enabled them deliver on their mandate.
