MUK students on strike again

Makerere University students have gone on strike once again, after lecturers resolved not to resume teaching.

In a meeting held yesterday afternoon by Makerere University Academic Staff Association, the lecturers remained resolute in their demands to the university council to pay their 28-billion shilling incentives that have accumulated since February this year.

Earlier the university Council chairperson Charles Wana Etyem maintained that the university does not have money promising they would pay the lecturers when the money is available.

The students have resumed their strike which had been halted last week.
