Mulongo welcomes anthem modification

The proposal to modify the national anthem continues to draw more reactions.

Bubulo East MP Simon Mulongo is one of those supporting the proposal saying this may help more Ugandans understand the anthem better.

Mulongo notes that the anthem is currently understood by the elite and yet it’s a national property.

Last week the Minister for Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities Maria Mutagamba announced that government is to embark on a project to improve and modernize the National Anthem.

The whole process is expected to cost over Shs180m.
