NRM Secretary locked up over rent arrears.
The National Resistance Movement Administrative Secretary’s office in Otuke District has been locked up over rent arrears.
Jasper Okengo the party district chairperson says the office has been locked since January this year over rent arrears amounting to Shs2.4m.
He says the matter was reported to adding the secretariat in Kampala is yet to receive a response.
James Obot, the landlord has now threatened to take legal action against the NRM party if no immediate action is taken by the Secretariat in Kampala.
Meanwhile, Otuke Resident District Commissioner Robert Abakhas promised to follow up the matter with the relevant authorities.
