UPC President Dr Olara Otunnu has been released on court bond, along side several opposition figures.
Otunnu and 19 others were charged with inciting violence and disobeying lawful orders by the police.
The 19 include, Busiro East MP elect Ibrahim Semuju Nganda, Nandala Mafaabi the chairperson of Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee.
Their lawyers included Peter Walubiri, Erias Lukwago and Abdul Katuntu.
They all appeared before Nakawa chief Charles Sserubuga.
The suspects are expected back to court on 12th May.
Otunnu and his co-accused were arrested as they walked along Jinja Road, in the on going Walk to Work Campaign, against the increased cost of living.
