The ministry of information technology is set to work with the ministry of works and transport to roll out online application of driving license in Uganda.
Currently drivers have to apply for permits manually which has characterized by much paper work.
According to Vincent Bagiire the permanent secretary ministry of information technology, they embarked on system integration that will facilitate sharing of information from the available National identification data base.
He said that all eligible driving permit applicants have their date already capture, thus making them apply manually is a wastage of resources.
