Police commander suspended

The Officer in Charge of the Kasangati police station has been suspended.

Collins Mukite has been suspended over alleged neglect of duty for reportedly failing to deploy officers in the area last week.

Collins who was in charge of deployment and commended the operations in Kansangati last week is said to have absconded from duty leaving no one in command.

The Deputy Police spokesperson Vincent Sekate has confirmed the suspension. Mukite has overseen the deployment in Kasangati and also commanded the operations involving the FDC Leader Col. Kizza Besigye.
