Prof Baryamureeba – Committee endorsement of the Age Bill a true fruit of democracy

Former Presidential candidate in the 2016 General Elections, Prof Venansius Baryamureeba has described the Committee endorsement of the Age Bill as a true fruit of democracy.
The Committee on Legal and Parliamentary Affairs adopted the Bill, with certain recommendations, among them, the restoration of presidential term limits.
Prof Baryamureeba who also appeared before the same committee last month tells K-FM that whereas his views were not entirely adopted by the committee, he is certain proper procedure was followed.
He however cautions Parliament to employ Consensus while debating the Bill rather than relying on the politics of numbers for the good of this country.
