Tax exemptions are depleting the government coffers.
News that the country is facing revenue shortfall of over 470 billion shillings, has forced Ministry of Finance to reveal plan of scrapping tax exemptions.
According to the Secretary to the Treasury Keith Muhakanzi, Uganda Revenue Authority registered a shortfall of 470 billion last financial year.
Muhakanzi blames this is tax exemptions that need to be done away with urgently.
