Allan Sewanyana – KCCA should respect council decision on city street vendors.

David Kugonza | October 26, 2016

Makindye West Member of Parliament Allan Sewanyana and his Rubaga North counterpart Moses Kasibante have asked officials from the Kampala Capital City Authority to respect the decision taken by council on city street vendors.

The legislators’ call follows a standoff between Kampala Minister Betty Kamya and the KCCA Political Wing headed by Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago over evection of the vendors.

The lawmakers who support the idea of gazzetting some streets as a temporary measure has also cautioned the KCCA enforcement against use of excessive force which might lead them into facing the Law.
