Besigye vows to stay defiant

David Kugonza | November 1, 2016

The former FDC presidential candidate Dr Col Kiiza Besigye has vowed to continue defying the renewed house arrest allegedly imposed on him by police.

Yesterday the police spokesperson Andrew Felix kawesi said under new arrangement, capable demonstrators will be arrested before causing chaos and subsequently Dr Besigye was arrested at his home and taken to Nagalama.

Speaking to media today, Dr Besigye said that he will not relent to the ongoing impunity and thus the process of liberating the whole country is starting from his home.

He explained that since he comes back from UNAA conference, police has been camping at his home and arresting him whenever he tries to move out.

However police says that the move is intended to maintain stability in the city.
