Companies to be monitored

The chairman of the private sector Foundation Uganda Patrick Bitature has urged more private enterprises to sign up for the UNDP Gender Equality Seal Certification.

This follows the signing of 13 Ugandan private companies from both the manufacturing and services sectors last evening which made Uganda the first African country to have its private sector take on the program.

Bitature says signing up offers numerous benefits and opportunities to the companies noting though, that those signed up will be monitored to ensure they are implementing the commitment.
