Court to rule on fate of Kirumira suspected killers
The High Court in Kampala has set Friday, December 23rd to decide whether the two people accused of murdering ASP Muhammad Kirumira have a case to answer.
The ruling was expected to be delivered on Wednesday, December 21 by Justice Margaret Mutonyi but she was reportedly indisposed.
Now Abubaker Kalungi, a key suspect in the murder of ASP Muhammad Kirumira and Resty Nalinya Mbabazi and his co-accused Hamza Mwebe have further been remanded to Luzira prison until Friday.
47-year-old Kalungi a carpenter and a resident of Kibutika Ndejje in Makindye Sabagabo and Hamza Mwebe are said to have gunned down Kirumira and Nalinya on September 8, 2018 at about 8 pm in Bulenga.
Kirumira and Nalinya were then rushed to Lubaga and Mulago hospitals respectively from where they were pronounced dead.
