District Commissioner sets an alcohol-drinking time table for residents.

David Kugonza | August 18, 2016

Kamwenge Resident District Commissioner Elijah Biryabarema has set an alcohol-drinking time table for residents.

He says the decision was prompted by the increasing number idle people and cases of domestic violence, child neglect.

Biryabarema says this will give the people of Kamwenge more time to work towards boosting their house hold incomes and improve their quality of life.

He says under the new arrangement, people will only be allowed to drink alcohol between 2:00pm and 10:00pm.

Biryabarema has also warned to close down bars that will violate the directive and stay open beyond the stipulated time.
