Fasting muslims urged to seek “night of power”

By Ali Mivule

As Ramadhan draws to a close, Muslims are advised to seek the night of power called Laylatul Qadir by praying more.

The night is found in last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan during the odd days of 21st, 23rd. 25th, 27th and 29th.

According to Islamic teaching it is during the night of power that God Pre-Determines ones destiny.

The deputy supreme Mufti Sheikh Mahmoud Kibaate says with the 21st and 23rd days already gone, Muslims should double their efforts in the remaining days by offering more night prayers, performing more acts of charity as well as reading the Quran to have a deeper understanding.
