FDC – Police is recruiting Kifeesi
Opposition Forum for Democratic Change has accused police of stealthily paying and recruiting some youth to form part of the masked goons commonly known as Kifeesi to masquerade as FDC party members and cause mayhem to tarnish the party’s image.
The party alleges that the recruitment is being done near Nakasero market in Kampala.
The deputy secretary general Harold Kaija maintains that the FDC members are not violent and are well aware of the human cost of an armed struggle.
The Inspector General of Police Gen.Kale Kayihura and President Yoweri Museveni have often rejected such claims and severally accused the party of causing violence in the country.
