FDC president asks Museveni to to separate presidential powers from his political powers

Members of the Inter party organization for Dialogue have met today to chart a way forward on issues affecting the country.
Among other issues discussed was the commitment to coalition, election of the Ugandan electoral commission, political party funding among others.
Addressing the press immediately after the meeting, FDC president Mugisha Muntu said there is need for president Museveni to separate his presidential powers from his political power as an NRM chairperson.
The Inter party organization for Dialogue chairperson who is also Democratic party secretary general Mathias Nsubuga explained that NRM did not attend the meeting because the secretary general and NRM’s CEC Member, James Tweheyo were out of the country.
