Ivan Kamyuka granted bail

High Court judge Masalu Musene has granted bail to Ivan Kamyuka, a man accused of murdering his fiance’s ex-lover at a top city club in August 2015.

Justice Masalu has ordered Kamyuka to pay Sh 5million and report to the High Court’s Deputy Registrar in-charge of criminal matters twice every month starting from the 11th/November 2016.

Kamyuka’s 4 surities including his mother and marternal uncles were also ordered to sign a court bond of Sh 20 Million to ensure that he returns back for his murder trial.

Kamyuka has been on remand at Luzira prison since 2^nd August 2015 on charges of murdering John Ahimbisibwe commonly known as Jonnie amongst his peers.

Prosecution says it will adduce evidence at the trial to the effect that Kamyuka smashed Ahimbisibwe’s head with a liquor bottle after the two allegedly had a quarrel over a woman.
