Kamuli LCV polls nullified

The High Court in Jinja has nullified the election of the Kamuli LC V Chairman over lack of academic qualifications.

Hajji Ahmed Kawugu Kawoya reportedly lacks the minimum A’ Level qualifications.

He was sued by political rival Charles Joshua Mutyabule, who also argued that he was illegally nominated for the said position by the Electoral Commission.

Justice Billy Kainamura ruled that enough evidence had been presented to prove that Hajji Kawugu lacked the said qualifications.

He has nullified the elections and ordered that fresh polls be held.
