Kisenyi Health Center has received an instant typhoid testing machine.
Unlike the old one, the new machine produces test results within just 30 minutes.
Dr. William Amutuheire, the supervisor epidemiological and epidemic disease control at Kampala Capital City Authority says previously it would take them atleast three days to produce results.
He says the machine will now enable them get accurate results to determine who is eligible for typhoid treatment instead blindly treating everyone who presents with typhoid-like symptoms.
