Cabinet has issued directives to ministry of Lands to cancel all land titles and leases in wetland

This has been revealed by Minister of lands Betty Amongi while appearing before the parliamentary Committee on Natural Resources to answer queries on mismanagement of wetlands especially Lwera and others.

Amongi told the committee that they have been co-directed with NEMA to work on a plan of canceling and recalling all land titles in wetlands including those in Lwera

She adds that cabinet further resolved that those with structures which can’t be demolished like Mukwano factory; Munyonyo resort hotels will be penalized.
