Mabirizi attacks government over Besigye

David Kugonza | October 19, 2016

Former presidential candidate Eng Elton Joseph Mabirizi has added voice to those condemning the continued reported mistreatment of Dr Col Kizza Besigye by security.

This comes two days after Besigye flew out of the country for the US after police blocked him from attending court.

Mabirizi who was one of the 8 presidential candidates in the February presidential polls says the continued siege of Col Besigye’s home is against the law.

Speaking to the daily monitor Mabirizi said this continued harassment of Dr Besigye since the elections is an infringement on his rights as a Ugandan.
