Mayiga rallies Ugandans to fully participate in local govt elections

Buganda Premier Charles Peter Mayiga has encouraged Ugandans to fully participate in the on-going local government council elections.

This followed the low voter turn-out in yesterday’s city mayors, councillors and district chairpersons’ elections.

Mayiga says local government council elections are very essential since these leaders are very close to the people’s challenges, urging Ugandans not to ignore them.

According to the Electoral Commisison official roadmap, next week on Monday, Ugandans will be voting for Municipal/ City division chairpersons and councillors.
