Law dons at Makerere University have advised management to device ways of compensating the students for the time lost following the lecturers’ strike.
Some students at the university have not had lectures since the strike began three weeks ago.
According to Kakungu Mayambala, one of the lecturers at the School of Law, the students have already lost a lot so have to be mechanisms of compensating them.
He advises that once the staff and management agree to call off the strike, the semester should either be postponed or put in place extra lectures.
The lecturers laid down their tools on the 19th January following the suspension of their leaders and vowed not to return to work until their suspension are lifted.
