Museveni appoints a 9 man committee to inquire into the affairs of MUK
President Museveni has appointed a 9 man visitation committee to inquire into the affairs of Makerere University.
According to a letter addressed to Makerere University vice chancellor Dr Dumba Ssentamu, the committee will be chaired by Dr Abel Rwendeire and deputized by Lady Justice Keturah Katunguka.
Other members on the committee include Dr. Florence Muranga,Dr Proscovia, Namubiri Ssentamu, John Muwanga among others.
President Museveni says he expects the new committee to review the reports of the earlier committees.
The committee is also tasked to find out what was implemented or not implemented and why, as well as making new recommendations if necessary.
The president says he has appointed the committee under Section 26 of the Universities and other Tertiary Institutions Act 2001 as amended.
The committee stars work with immediate effect
