Nambooze petition seeks national dialogue

David Kugonza | October 18, 2016

Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze says that the opposition petition to recall parliament will seek a national dialogue to end the political crisis within the country.

Nambooze says that the decision for a broader approach was reached following wide consultations.

The petition is still undergoing a drafting process led by Mr Wilfred Nuwagaba (Ndorwa East), the Shadow attorney general.

Nambooze says that given parliament’s constitutional mandate, this provides grounds for the House to redefine the country’s democratic agenda.

Mr Nuwagaba says that the current situation’s endangers all Ugandans and the petition will go beyond Besigye
