Newly appointed ministry of health PS speaks out on the appointment.
The newly appointed ministry of health permanent secretary Dr. Diana Atwiine has pledged to strengthen proper financial management in the Ministry.
Dr. Atwine is one of the several technocrats whose appointments were announced by President Yoweri Museveni yesterday.
She replaces Dr. Asuman Lukwago who has been moved to the Education service commission.
Speaking to KFM, Atwine says there have been issues with accountability, mis-use and diversion of funds and money.
She however admits that the position assigned to her comes with a big challenge adding that she is ready to put in adequate effort to improve the overall performance of the ministry.
