President Museveni appoints Maj Gen Otto new commander Operation Shuuja
President Museveni has appointed Maj Gen Richard Otto the new Commander of Mountain Division and Operation Shuuja.
He replaces Maj. Gen Dick Olum who heads to the South Sudan Stabilization Mechanism where Maj Gen Otto has been representing Uganda.
The Deputy Defence Public Information Col Deo Akiiki confirms the new appointments.
”It is true that the commander in chief and also the president of Uganda has made changes appointing Major General Dick Olum to represent Uganda in south Sudan stabilization mechanism while the person who was there major General Richard Otto has been appointed the new commander of mountain division and therefore he will be the one overseeing operation shuuja,” Akiiki said.
