Majority of public schools in Tororo district have permanently closed as teacher’s strike enters the third day.
In most schools visited, neither teachers nor pupils surfaced at school making parents getting stuck with their children while others opting to divert their children to private schools.
Gabriel Emojong one of the parents tells us that his child who is in primary told him that their on Monday asked them not to come to school until an announcement is made asking them to resume with studies.
Unlike in rural areas children in urban settings have resorted to vending which has increased on child labor especially in malaba border.
