Two ladies have been charged and fined one million shilling each for cooking and serving food in a dirty place.
Catherine Nakintu and Jane Namanda who are both food vendors at Kibuye in Rubaga division appeared before grade one magistrate at City Hall Elias Kakooza and pleaded guilty to the offense of causing or suffering a nuisance to exist.
However after pleading guilty to the offense the magistrate ordered the duo pay a fine of one million shillings each or face three months in jail
It’s alleged that the duo on 14th May 2015 at Happy Land Kibuye in Rubaga division did cause a nuisance to exist by preparing and selling food from dirty premises.
They are also charged with another charge of refusing to comply with KCCA resolutions on public health.
